FAQs

Your tumbler has a built-in UV-C LED in the lid. When activated, it emits ultraviolet light that neutralizes bacteria, viruses, and germs inside the bottle and on the water’s surface. The result is a fresher, cleaner tumbler without scrubbing, tablets, or chemicals.

No. Just charge it fully before first use, rinse it once, and it’s ready. There’s no installation, plumbing, or technician required.

UV-C sanitizes by neutralizing microorganisms, but it is not a filter — it doesn’t remove sediment, chemicals, or heavy metals, and it isn’t a substitute for proper water treatment. For best results, start with water that’s already safe to drink.

The only part that needs occasional replacement is the filter. Under normal daily use, we recommend changing it every 2–3 months to keep your water tasting fresh and clean. The UV-C LED itself is rated for years of use and never needs replacing — the only other upkeep is recharging the battery. Replacement filters are available in our shop.

You can run a cleaning cycle anytime with a press of the button. Many models also run an automatic cycle every few hours to keep things fresh on their own.

Yes, it’s safe. The UV-C light only operates while the lid is sealed and shut off automatically when opened, so the light stays contained inside the tumbler and never shines on you.

The self-cleaning cycle keeps the interior fresh between washes, but we still recommend a gentle hand-wash every so often, especially after drinks other than water. Avoid submerging the smart lid in water — wipe it with a damp cloth instead.

On a full charge, the tumbler runs roughly a week of regular cleaning cycles, depending on how often you use it. It recharges via USB-C in about 1–2 hours, and an indicator light lets you know when it’s time to top up.
